If you don't want people constantly nagging you for what you want for the baby, I'd start thinking about that registry. Otherwise, they never leave you alone. People love buying for babies, generally.

When you do get a crib, I'd suggest investing in one that converts eventually to a twin bed. They may cost more, but they'll save you money in the long run.
