This is Senator Diane Savino of the New York State Senate speaking on why she supports gay marriage. I've never heard a more reasonable and logical argument; I very much hope she plans on staying in politics.

I've seen this in about 10 people's LJs in the past day or so, and I've been kind of just skimming past it, because I'm not a particularly political person. But this Senator so eloquently spoke on the issue and I'm so glad I finally watched this video. Thanks for sharing this!

People around here are ROYALLY pissed. It's NEW YORK for crying out loud.

At least MY state senator in NJ is the cosponsor of our Equality Bill. My assemblypersons are jerkfaces and I have to call them and yell at them to vote, but my senator is made of win.
