Here's a teaser for the cracktastic adventures these questions will take us on!
13 Questions:
1. 5 and 9 are in a sporting event for charity, what event do they participate in? For what charity?
John Sheppard and Sirius Black in a sporting event for charity... I'd say rugby, where Sirius knows how to play from going out as a youngster and playing with his Muggle neighbors just to piss his mom off. John doesn't know how to play but he figures, it's just a bit rougher than American football, and he *loves* football. Both of them are great players because they both have no sense of personal safety.
The charity... hmm, well I'll have to get creative. I'll set it pre-SGA, because the HP books end in 1998! So John would be what, 24/25 around Goblet of Fire timeline, when Sirius was in hiding? I'm too lazy to look up canon backstory for John for a silly meme, but I'd assume he's not even a Captain by this time, and maybe he'd be stationed somewhere in Europe for a really short time. He'd be out trying to blow off steam and sees a flier looking for participants in the rugby game to benefit the families of victims of a mine collapse. Sirius knows the collapse was a result of some vicious pranking gone bad by stuck-up Pureblooded distant relatives of his, and he is chafing at having to hide in the cave near Hogsmeade, so he participates too.
What? No one said anything about not trying to make it at least partially plausible... >.>
2. If you could be 3's best friend for twenty-four hours, what would you spend the day doing?
Gil Grissom's best friend for twenty-four hours, eh? He'd get me into the Body Farm to observe him doing some entomology, explaining in a morbidly excited voice about all the different insects. Then he'd get called in on a case, and I'd sit in his office staring at his foetal (fetal?) pig (this is pre-gifting of the pig to someone else) for an hour and a half until he calls to tell me it's a bad one and he'll have to rain check the rest of the evening.
3. Is 8 more of a cat or a dog person?
Hee. She's a dog person, and she named it Hank (WHY WHY WHY?!).
4. Create a live journal name for 10.
*dies* Jack O'Neill's livejournal? Can it have been made by Daniel as a joke? If Jack made an LJ, it'd probably be
yasureyoubetcha or 'gone_fishing' (which is actually available as a username!).
5. Out of 7 and 4 who would make a better preschool teacher? What type of games and activities would they do?
Heh. Daniel Jackson or Samantha Carter as preschool teachers? I think the tendency would be to think Sam, but I pick Daniel, because Sam has a tendency to be excitable in a way that is a little scary, but Daniel would know to treat the kids their age, but with respect. He'd cordon off the sandbox one day and hide toys in there, and let the kids play archaeologist with buckets and scoops and screens and brushes!
6. Where would 6 like to spend an extended weekend?
Remus Lupin would spend an extended weekend at a small bed and breakfast in the countryside that borders a wood that reminds him of the Forbidden Forest. He'd go out hiking at dusk and reminisce sadly about the friends he'd lost, but think joyfully of the times they spent together. He wouldn't tell anyone where he went, and he wouldn't bring anyone with him, and he wouldn't talk about it when he got home.
7. 9, 4, and 8 have three seats in a row on an airplane; who gets the window seat, the aisle seat and the middle seat? What do they discuss?
Sirius Black, Samantha Carter, and Sara Sidle. Sirius has the aisle, because he has had enough of being trapped in. Sara has the middle, because she knows about all the germs that can be on the side of the plane and the window because she's had to process planes before. Sam is okay with sitting at the window, though she doesn't spend much time looking out--none of the three would.
Sirius looks nervous and makes a dark joke about crash survival rates and Sara can't resist telling him where his statistics are wrong but offering different ones that are just as dark. Sam cuts in with a remark about the G forces that a human body can withstand, and hints at the concept of inertial dampeners (because she can tell Sara's a science girl). Sara and Sam talk about science stuff and Sirius just watches with fascination and is a bit turned on by it all.
8. Write a haiku that 1 might write for 10 (5, 7, 5 syllables)
Rodney writing a haiku for Jack. Oh man. Written in an e-mail to John (established McShep) that Rodney threatens to send to Jack after John does something stupidly heroic again, they bicker, and John points out that if it weren't for Jack he'd not have even been in Atlantis to annoy Rodney by almost dying all the time, and that Rodney should thank Jack sometime. So this is what Rodney sends back:
Thanks for the flyboy.
Next time, though, could you pick one
withoutstupid hair a death wish?
9. Out of 2 and 7 who would you rather perform a talent show with? What would be your talent?
Hermione Granger and Daniel Jackson... oh, god. Going with Daniel because Hermione doesn't strike me as the type to do well in a talent show that doesn't involve magic (I think she'd be the stage fright puke type, actually) or the ability to show off intellectual skills. Daniel wouldn't be much better, but I think he has a secret ballroom dancing fetish. So yeah, with the dancing, and the hot tux, and the... sorry, what was the question?
10. 3 finds a wallet with two hundred dollar/pounds/etc with ID what does s/he do?
Gee, Gil Grissom finds a wallet. Well, first he checks around the area to see if anyone looks like they've lost something, and when they don't, he smiles and takes it back to his office where he proceeds to try to identify it without opening it to check the ID. Nick holds a betting pool on whether Jacqui will figure out that the prints she's running as a favor are not for an active case, and Warrick ends up having to talk to her in a low voice while leaning against the desk to keep her from figuring it out. After he has the results to take to Griss, Nick asks him if he has a date or not, and when Warrick says no, Nick hands Greg a $20 and Warrick pummels him on the shoulder.
11. What is 1's greatest fear?
Sadly I can't make anything up since I already know it's being eaten by a whale, though I'd like to think that since The Last Man, it might be losing John and having the entire universe go to hell because of it. Or, more specifically, worrying that, in multiverse theory, that he'd be one of the McKays that didn't actually figure out how to get John back.
12. 5 was just arrested for disobeying authority, would 2 bail them out of jail?
ROFLMAO. John arrested for disobeying authority. SURPRISE. Hermione's good friend Samantha Carter, whom she met via her older boyfriend, Sirius Black (see 'Then Shall I Know' for context... *evil grin*), mentions how upset she is that her colleague, John Sheppard, was arrested. Ostensibly, it was for disobeying a direct order, but the order was given off-duty and it was to stand down from a confrontation where some bigoted army grunt was making comments about the recent repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell and how there were going to be 'queers popping out of the woodwork after his cornhole.' He looked at Rodney when saying this, John took offense, one of his superiors saw it and sided with the grunt, and John ended up arrested.
Hermione decides to go with Sirius (who had had a relationship with Remus back in school, and thus knows all about having to hide and hating it) when he is determined to break John out of jail by hexing the superior into changing his mind and apologizing and letting him out. They come to a compromise that still involves a good deal of humiliation for the jerks involved and good old fashioned happy endings.
13. 6 decides to throw a party, what are they celebrating? Is the party a success?
Remus throws a party for John and Rodney on the occasion of John's release from jail, and it's a success all around! Implausible, but hey, fun!
