1). List your favourite female characters.
2). Explain why you like them or what makes them particularly awesome.
3). Post a picture and your favourite quote.
4). Tag five people to do the same.

In No Particular Order... )

I always feel the same about tagging people as I do about forwarding e-mails, but I will make an exception in this case, because I genuinely would like to know who these people would choose. If I have left you out, and you want to do it, PLEASE do--some people I've left out deliberately because I suspect they feel the same way about being tagged as I do about tagging, lol.

So, [livejournal.com profile] vida_boheme, [livejournal.com profile] vaginasaurus, [livejournal.com profile] thisissirius, [livejournal.com profile] theweasleyboys, and [livejournal.com profile] unamaga, have at it!

ETA: Let's try to keep discussion of at least Torchwood spoiler free, yeah? The post doesn't have spoilers, but if comments turn out to have them, I will edit to reflect this in the post ribbed for your pleasure protection.
Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] argosy's recent post, I have seen the holy grail.

Forget the quote-unquote 'Top 50 Man Candy' list by OK Magazine! Instead, check out the FANDOM Top 50 Man Candy list by [livejournal.com profile] mortari.

Seriously, this is the fucking list of all the men I want to... meet in real life. Or something. Err.

All joking aside, this list really is the most awesome ever, and Alan Rickman (who got left off by accident) gets an honorable mention.

GO LOOK!
Unabashedly snitched from [livejournal.com profile] sga_lover:
Select ten characters from any fandom (multiple fandoms are fine)

1. Rodney McKay
2. Hermione Granger
3. Gil Grissom
4. Samantha Carter
5. John Sheppard
6. Remus Lupin
7. Daniel Jackson
8. Sara Sidle
9. Sirius Black
10. Jack O'Neill

Here's a teaser for the cracktastic adventures these questions will take us on!

13 Questions:

1.    5 and 9 are in a sporting event for charity, what event do they participate in? For what charity?

John Sheppard and Sirius Black in a sporting event for charity... I'd say rugby, where Sirius knows how to play from going out as a youngster and playing with his Muggle neighbors just to piss his mom off. John doesn't know how to play but he figures, it's just a bit rougher than American football, and he *loves* football. Both of them are great players because they both have no sense of personal safety.

The charity... hmm, well I'll have to get creative. I'll set it pre-SGA, because the HP books end in 1998! So John would be what, 24/25 around Goblet of Fire timeline, when Sirius was in hiding? I'm too lazy to look up canon backstory for John for a silly meme, but I'd assume he's not even a Captain by this time, and maybe he'd be stationed somewhere in Europe for a really short time. He'd be out trying to blow off steam and sees a flier looking for participants in the rugby game to benefit the families of victims of a mine collapse. Sirius knows the collapse was a result of some vicious pranking gone bad by stuck-up Pureblooded distant relatives of his, and he is chafing at having to hide in the cave near Hogsmeade, so he participates too.

What? No one said anything about not trying to make it at least partially plausible... >.>

I realized recently that I haven't actually linked my CSI stories on my journal. Part of that is that they're from 'back in the day' and I've gotten way better at writing... but I've signed up for the [livejournal.com profile] remixredux08 (signups open until tonight!), and I need all the links to my fics in one place.

On to the list... )
Wendy/Hodges.

That was, quite literally, the best CSI episode I've ever seen, simply for the premise of the whole thing. One gigantic CSI fan in-joke FOR THE WIN.

E> the lab techs.

edit: I really, REALLY want to know if a) that was a fan-written epi, or b) if that was a litmus test for them to see how many people will write fanfiction if they throw them subtext.
Omg I couldn't resist this meme. Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] coldwriter

Ok, so my first fandom love was Grissom/Sara on CSI.

I just got a download of the piece I missed at the end (still have to watch the finale, as hubby was an ASS and didn't tell me what time it was, and I get engrossed while writing), and OMG.

Those... assholes. For drawing me back when I was finally free of the Geeklove obsession.

ALL. MY. DREAMS. COME. TRUE.

/sifts back through all her old GSR fanfic...

Two, probably not spectacular, CSI music videos I made )
