It really, really is. However, I'm slightly mollified by the fact that when I hit 'submit' on a new chapter, approximately 400 people are sent an e-mail.

I create spam by writing, wheee!

Well, admittedly, while people have TSIK on their author alert on fanfiction.net, it doesn't necessarily mean they're interested--I still get e-mails from fandoms I stopped reading four years ago, but haven't taken myself off of the alert list... hehe. Plus it's made me slightly neurotic, because when I get hits on the page and no reviews I go 'oh NO do they not like it?!' and that can be worse than not knowing!

Isn't that the truth?!?!? I just posted a chapter yesterday - supposedly long awaited so people said - and I've got ONE review. Lots of hits, but no word if good or not. *misses feedback*

A friend of mine wrote a huge Ginny/Draco story that was like 50 chapters long and posted it to FF.net. Then her computer crashed and she lost the file, so she went to FF.net to try save it to her computer again and what do you know? They'd taken it down. She lost all hope with them then.

Eek looks like my first response to you didn't work, as it's not on here! Sorry about that--I think I'd said that that sounds exactly like something ffnet would do, and I wish I knew of a way to port out the review pages, cause some of them are really constructive and I'd like to keep them in case something catastrophic happens, you know?
