Title: Come Ashore (link @
sticksandsnark)
Rating: PG
Word Count: 3,885
Summary: Teyla and Rodney spend some time stuck in a puddlejumper and discover that their feelings for each other aren't as unrequited as they thought--but life is rarely uncomplicated, and this is no exception.
Notes: Written for
newkidfan for the 'Rodney/Teyla Thing-a-Thon' over at
sticksandsnark. Occurs shortly after Tabula Rasa, and has spoilers for seasons 1-4.
Note to recipient: Your prompts were so fantastic, and I integrated two of them--the lovely Tabula Rasa video where Teyla caresses Rodney's arm (you asked for 'Anything based on, alluding to, including, or recreating' that moment), as well as 'Anything that would pull at my heartstrings...angst, sap, heavy pining...I'm easy...with a happy ending on top. Anything that would make me go 'ouch, my heart!, squee' in that order.' The story pretended it was almost done and then decided to be recalcitrant, so I let it have its way with me...note particularly the heavy sap at the ending!. I hope you like! *bites nails*
