So, the only thing good on TV right now is Veronica Mars. Both hubby and I are too lazy to move, so we thought we'd watch it... I made an off-hand remark about someone stating in a rant that VM is a ripoff of Nancy Drew. Conversation continued, talking about the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and what good sleuths they were--until this gem, once again reminding me how much I love random RL sitcom moments:

Gregory: I think there was a crossover when the Nancy Boys ran into... wait...

Oh, awesome! I'm tied up until at least 12 EST as I'm desperately trying ot finish this cross-stitch before the baby shower (it's in 5 days, not gonna happen), so I won't be around at least till then.

Great sitcom moment!

Yes, VM is totally a Nancy Drew ripoff. (I believe "inspiration" or "update of" is the PC term.) And I love VM -- there's nothing really new in the world, and VM is being done with great class and style. It's my favorite show currently on the air; in fact, I like it so much I'm working on a Buffy/Veronica crossover.

Hmm ... Could Supernatural have been inspired by the Hardy Boys?
